Thank you so much for your interest in helping refugees in Harrisonburg. We are a small staff and can’t accomplish our work without the help of our generous donors and volunteers. Volunteers may help in English classes, work with families in their homes, provide transportation, teach important skills, or help us in the office. No matter what role a volunteer fills, they play an important part in welcoming newcomers to our community.
If you are interested in welcoming a family and making a lasting connection with them, you may be also be interested in our Linking Communities program.
Or perhaps you’d like to combine your desire to help refugees with your passion for cycling? Check out the Bikes for Refugees initiative by the Shenandoah Valley Bicycle Coalition!
No matter what kind of support you have to offer, we are grateful for your help and thankful to be a part of such a giving and welcoming community.
