The CWS Harrisonburg and Refugee Program received recognition from the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA) in January 2006, and since then our staff have Department of Justice (DOJ) accreditation to practice immigration law. The CWS immigration legal services program is one of only two BIA accredited programs in Harrisonburg.

 

Immigrants and refugees have many complicated and expensive legal hurdles on the path to protection, citizenship, and reuniting with their families. CWS Virginia's Immigration Legal Counseling staff provide low cost legal advice and representation to refugees, asylum-seekers, and other immigrants in the Shenandoah Valley.
